The holiday climbing sessions, are suitable for climbers of any ability, whether you have never climbed before or you are a seasoned pro. At Rope Race we have climbing walls that cater for a range of ability, meaning that you can climb with anyone of any ability and there will always be something for you to have a go at.
All our climbing sessions are fully supervised by qualified instructors who work regularly with groups of children and know how to keep them entertained for the whole session
Archery is a sport that has been part of British history since the 18th century and has been a competitive sport since the 1800's. Here at Rope Race we are enthusiastic about introducing and teaching Archery to young people so that they get a feel for a part of this historic activity.
All our instructors are very experienced archers and will be able to help absolute beginners with their first steps into the activity, as well as coach more developed archers. In the Archery holiday club sessions, we focus on fun, playing games throughout whilst trying to improve your shoot as we play the games.
Geocaching is one of the most fun and exciting times you can have outdoors. Geocaching is a global treasure hunt played by approximately 3 million people. It is a way for people to learn to use a GPS whilst looking for hidden boxes "caches" out in the local area.
We either set off from the the Goyt Mill and do a loop or get dropped off at a further out location and walk back. There are almost 100 Geocaches in Marple alone and more are being placed all the time. If you are still not sure there is a video linked
So let's get hunting!
If you are staying for the full day's activities, then you need to bring a packed lunch with you. During lunch time you will spend the time with your new friends and instructors.
All you need to bring with you is your packed lunch and some like to bring a book, but we will usually chat or sometimes do some circus skills if time allows.
